Don't navigate there from the pin on Google. It leads you up a washed out dirt road that ends at someone's driveway. There is a sign saying you will be towed if you park there. You might think to yourself, self, they aren't driving a tow truck up here. But you better believe there was a tow truck coming up the road as my girlfriend and I were heading down.

A good destination to hike to, but it appears other guests might not know about the seven principles of Leave No Trace. Graffiti, trash, and people playing music cut my stay on top of Eagle Rock short. Be careful of where you step!

We had a wonderful summer solstice hike, starting from Trippet Ranch (street parking, because the lot is closed for construction), along Musch/Backbone trail, to Eagle Rock, and then back along the fire road. Most of the Musch trail has been recently and beautifully cleaned by the Sierra Club, but some of the higher up portions are pretty badly overgrown.
